DIY Ombre Hair

Hey Beauts!

I'll just start by making a HUGE apology for abandoning you for this long, I have just been super super busy (I know, no excuse) and I just have had no time:(

So a couple of weeks ago it was the end of term, so to mark this occasion I decided to bleach my hair... as ya do!

The kit I used to do this was the L'Oreal Hilighting kit.

It was around £6 and I have to say that it worked really well - very good value for money! The instructions were brilliant and made making up the solution really easy.

I know it's blue (that seriously freaked me out) but that's just the bleach me and my friends were having such a laugh thinking of me with blue hair!!

So then using the spreader (technical word alert) that they provide you I applied it to the ends of my hair. I made sure that I worked it in with my fingers - obviously using the plastic gloves provided, safety first! - in order to get a nice gradient.
I then wrapped sections of my hair in foil in order to make the bleach work more effectively!

Attractive I know

And then we wait. 40 long minutes and not being able to leave the bathroom out of fear of bleaching the carpet;)

Once the time was up I just rinsed out the dye and added the conditioner that comes in the pack and then just dry it and pray that it looks good!;)

So here are a few shots of the hair in question! Some show it better than others but it's just a really nice coppery blonde and if I'm being honest I am really like it! It's not very well graduated on one side but now it's faded a tad you'd never notice! I may re-do it just do gain a brighter blonde, but we'll see;)

I really wouldn't suggest you do this if you have majorly damaged hair, I mean mine wasn't in the best condition as I had dip-dyed it red before so it was a tad dry but nothing major. But if you're hair is already frazzled I wouldn't suggest bleach, my hair is literally now straw - no joke. But it looks pretty so no pain no gain;)

So there you have it! I know I'm a bit (well a lot) late jumping on the ombre bandwagon but hey ho, I loves it;)

Thankyou so much for reading and I promise not to leave it so long next time, really do love you all!!x

REVIEW: Sleek Contour Kit

Hey Guys!

So last week I picked up the Sleek Contour Kit in light. I have wanted it for sooo long as I'm pretty new to contouring and from reading previous reviews I thought that it would be a great kit for me as a beginner:)

I find it so easy to use and with the little leaflet that comes with it, it really makes it simple for you! I also think that the colour of both the contour and the highlight that comes in the it really suits my skin tone.

I also really love the packaging, it's kind of a dupe for the Nars packaging and it kind of makes me feel all classy whenever I wip it out of my make-up bag!

(Sorry for the bad photos you can't really see, but I tried my best!)

All in all I really liked this product and it has definitely become a firm staple in my make-up bag!! For it's reasonable price at £6.50 I think if you're interested in dabbling in a bit of contouring then this is the product for you!!

Sorry this wasn't a very detailed review, but I hope you liked it all the same!:)

Glamour Freebies.

Hey guys!
So this was the post that I had planned to do instead of my haul, so here it is! I know that these freebies are quite old but hey, thought I'd do it anyway:) So I don't know if any of you noticed but a while ago Glamour were giving away free benefit items. Now call me sad, but I bought two of the Glamour magazines in order to get two of the free benefit gifts - I know that is sooo excessive but i was really excited to try the products! There were a choice of three all together, the one that I didn't was the pore serum as I don't really suffer from big pores:)

So the gifts that I got were a mini size of the benefit 'that gal' face primer and the benefit 'bad gal lash' mascara.

So first was the 'that gal brightening face primer'. So I don't really have much experience with primers, I usually just use a moisturiser, so I can't really give great feedback but this was quite nice. It didn't make my skin feel overly soft but it did prove a very nice base for foundation!

Before
After
*I just have to say sorry about my eyes I had really bad hayfever when I took these photos, so that's why they're all bloodshot;) Don't ya just hate pollen?!

So I really like this mascara, I think it's a really great one for summer. It gives a really natural look to the lashes and separates them quite well. Well you can see my eyes - what do you think? I like it, although my friend Annie got this free and didn't like it so I suppose it's each to their own!!

So there you go those are the benefit freebies from the latest Glamour:)
Did you get any of them? What did you think?

Haul.

Hey Lovelies!
I am so sorry that I haven't posted in a while but, let's just say that GCSE's are a b****. I did have another post lined up for today but I went shopping with my mum and bought quite a bit so I thought hey why not do another haul, seeing as you guys seemed to like my superdrug one:)

First we went to Superdrug where I picked up Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation - £6.99. I've had this before and really liked it, and I needed a new everyday foundation so I went back to this, I might do a review, what do you think??

Then we went to Dorothy Perkins who were having a huuge sale and I managed to grab some earrings for £2 and these rings for £1 each! I know they're the same ring but in different colours but I just thought, they're a pound - to hell with it;)

Finally we went to Topshop who were also having a sale - I'm a sucker for a bargain! So I got these mint green high-waisted jeans for £20! I love them.

I also picked up this just plain white T-shirt for £8, which isn't too bad. I've been wanting just a top like this for a while because I just think they're so easy and versatile. I originally tried H&M but had no luck (I know?) so I was chuffed to bits when I found one in Topshop!

So that's it for my little haul guys, hope you liked it!

Black Hat Craze

Hey Beauts!
So I don't know about you but I have been loving the whole black bowler/hat craze that's been going around over the past few months. I just love the edge that they can give to an outfit. Unfortunately I left it far too late to get my hands on a proper bowler, like the ones that Topshop and H&M stocked. I really wanted one like that, but I have settled with a similar (not as good but similar) hat which I am quite liking! It is rather large (I won't lie) but it'll have to do.
I bought it from H&M for £10. Personally I think that it is a little steep for a hat but I've been wanting a black hat like it for ages so I bit the bullet and purchased!!

Sorry for the really posey photos but when you're with your friend and she's got her swanky camera these are the product;)
What do you guys think??
