Laura Marling

Hey Lovlies!
So this is my first music post! My sister introduced me to the gorgeous Laura Marling about 2 years ago and I've been hooked on her ever since. I was so happy for her when she one her 'Best Female Solo Artist' Brit in 2011 she is just so talented and well deserving!

I have always had a bit of a girl crush on her but I'v rediscovered her over the past couple of weeks and just can't get enough! Out of her three albums: Alas I Cannot Swim, I Speak Because I Can and A Creature I Don't Know, I definitely prefer Alas I Cannot Swim - can't beat an original! But saying that I do love all three!

The song that I have been most 'ahh' about recently though is 'New Romantic' I know it's not too recent but ah I love everything from the video down to the lyrics, it's just gorgeous!

I cannot tell you how much I love this girl! I really want to go see her, she's one of those artists that you know would be brilliant live! I just wish that the charts could be filled with people like her and not poppy rubbish...:(

I'm soo sorry I'm afraid I've turned into a.... rambling man....;) I'm so sorry I couldn't resist!

But yes I have spoken for far too long, I hope you all enjoyed this alternative sort of post, let me know if you did!

Galaxy Print : OBSESSION

Hey Lovelies!
So I don't know about you but I have been finding myself getting more and more obsessed with galaxy print as of late:)
But in particular - leggings!
I am a bit of a legging and tight fanatic so show me a pair with a funky print, and I 'm ya gal!
Here are a couple that I found:

This pair is from Black Milk
I'm sorry but how gorgeous are these? I just love them! I may just be a tad influenced by the way the model is wearing them and how they look on her - my legs certainly aren't that long:P - but still, they are beautiful!
They are $75.00 which is around £47.00.
Now that, to me, is an extortionate amount for a pair of leggings and I sure as hell can't afford it *sad face*

So here is a cheaper option:

These are from Misguided and are £9.99
Ok, so we can't argue that that is a pretty significant price drop, definitely more up my street on that aspect.
But, let's face it, although these are galaxy print, they just don't have the same feel as the Black Milk ones and (don't go mad) they just look a little bit tacky.

But hey! I am determined to get my hands on a pair of galaxy leggings; looks like 'ebay - I'm coming your way!'

Oh and just a side note I was trying out something with my nails yesterday and created this 'galaxy nail' look

Sorry for the poor lighting and the little chip in the corner, but you get the idea:)
What do you guys think? Please let me know if you like it:)

Temporary Secretary Jewellery

Hey!
So on my daily browse on the internet of fashion, I came across this little blog/shop. It's such a cute little shop that stocks gorgeous pieces of one off jewellery. It's very 'accessorize esque' and the products are just the kind of things that you just say 'awww how cute!'
Although this isn't the cheapest brand on the market, it's by no means too overpriced. I would say that it  is  probably around the Topshop pricing, which, lets face it, we are all willing to pay!:)

So here are a few pieces that caught my eye!

Bicycle studded earrings - £7.00
So these, I won't lie, were a bit of a guilty pleasure piece, they are just too cute!

Izel Navajo Aztec Ring - £12.00
I fell in love with this a soon as I saw it! I am a sucker for anything with a turquoise stone and I have been after a ring like this for soooo long! It also comes in black and a beautiful coral colour, getting all three is just too tempting - but I don't think my purse strings would be too happy:)

Just Keep Sewing - £17.00
Ok so let me just say - how cute? It's a little pricey but, I repeat - how cute!

Enamel Triangle Necklace - £14.95
Ok so (apart from maybe the ring) this is my favourite piece! It's this beautiful enamel necklace, and I think that it would just look great under a collar.

So, what do you think of Temporary Secretary? I really like it and I think that it will be a site that I might revisit:)
Heres the linkypink http://www.temporary-secretary.com/ - so enjoy!!

Umi Hand Cream

Hey Beauts!
So it was my birthday not too long ago and one of the many presents that I was kindly given was a very nice hand cream set. Now this brand is called Umi, which is a brand at Waitrose. Now I wasn't sure whether I wanted to dedicate an entire post to a hand cream from a supermarket, but I decided to say 'to hell with it!' because I absolutely LOVE it!

Now I am not the biggest fan of hand cream if I'm being totally honest, because it always seems to leave my hands feeling greasy and gross, so when I received this I wasn't exactly thrilled. But I tell you what this cream is like nothing I've ever tried before, it's soft, soaks in so quickly and smells absolutely incredible - I'm not joking!
It is Pomegranate and Acacia Honey, so is just a mix of heavenly fragrance!
It came in a set with a nail file and some hand fizzers.... which I'm pretty sure are just bath bombs for ya hands, but I haven't tried them yet - so who knows what they could turn out to be!;)
Also as it's a supermarket own brand it's so reasonably priced, it's around about the £3 mark for a bottle this size (100ml), so go and grab yourself some!

I know this may have been a pretty boring post but I just needed to tell you guys about this stuff so you can go ahead and start falling in love too!

Hair of the Day

Hey Beauts!
So today I messing around with my curlers, and I have the Babyliss curlers that have interchangeable....things (I don't know the right word!). But anyway I decided to try the setting with two curling wands because having watched one of FleurdeForce's videos where she used a curler like this and achieved such gorgeous natural curls, I had to try it!
So anyway here's the result!

I know I look ridiculous, but I got bored of smiling!;)

I hope you liked this post, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to do it or not but ya know -why not!!

Banish those Stretch Marks!

Hey Beauts!
So I don't know if any of you can relate with this issue, but I am a huge sufferer of stretch marks. This isn't a topic that I like to talk about as it is probably one of my biggest insecurities. It makes me dread bikini season as I hate exposing my legs when they are covered in those horrible little blighters!
It came to the point a few months ago that it was bringing me down so much that I thought - I need to do something about this!

So I bought myself a bottle of this bad boy! So many good things have been said and will continue to be said about Bio Oil and I can safely say I don't know where I would be without it!
Unfortunately you can never fully get rid of existing stretch marks but it can help their appearance so that they are pretty much invisible. It's also great at preventing stretch marks from occurring.
I have certainly noticed a difference in my thighs! The change in the stretch marks is phenomenal from just a few months of use and I have noticed that no new marks have appeared since.
If you are going through the same as me, I would definitely go and get yourself a bottle of this sacred liquid!  It can be quite pricey in the shops but if you go to Amazon then the prices are cut considerably!

If you have been through these issues or are going through them now I would love to know as it has been such a hindrance to me over the past few years and it feels great to know that there is a product out there that really works!

Superdrug Haul

Hey Beauts!
So as you know from my previous OOTD post I went to town shopping with my girlfriends yesterday so naturally I  headed straight for some make-up! I have been spending quite a lot of moolah on high-end goodies lately so I just felt like I needed a good, cheap drugstore splurge - so that I did!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair (2)
Well I've lied with this one as I actually didn't buy this today I bought it yesterday from Morrisons but I'm too lazy to adjust titles and well to be organised!;)
Ok so this concealer has been floating around the blogging and youtube seen for yonks and well I have finally succumbed and bought it! And I must say that it was not a bad decision as (even though I've only used it a couple of times) I love it!

(Sorry about the bodged photo placement, I haven't quite got the hang of this yet)
Maxfactor 'Bewitching Coral' lipstick
Wow! So, I have been eyeing up this product in boots for weeks so today I thought, ya know what - to hell with it, I'm buying it - so I did! It's a lot more pink in real life. I would say that it's more of a fuchsia than a coral, it's soo bright but yet wearable - I think I'm in love;) Everything from the packaging to the finish is just gorgeous! I literally put it on as soon as I came home which was about 5, and it's still on now at 9! And it doesn't fade or dry the lip, it's so moisturising and I think the reasion that it is so long lasting is that it stains your lips meaning that it just stays and stays and stays! Ok enough rambling lets move on!

So I also bought this MUA pressed powder as I have been needing something to set my foundation lately that doesn't have a thickness/full coverage. So I cam across this bad boy and it's great. It's not the best powder in the world but it's light, soft and it does the job. Oh and it's only £1 - bargain!!

So finally I picked up this MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow palette for £4. I've wanted this for a while after I saw a fellow blogger post about finding this. I really love the colours and for such good value they are surprisingly good quality!

So if you managed to get to the end of this - good on ya!
Thanks so much for reading!x

OOTD: A day shopping with the girls

Hey Beauts!
So today I just went shopping with my girlies, so I thought why not show you guys what I wore! Here goes!.....Oh but before we start you may notice that in some of the photos I am wearing a headband and in others I'm not. This is because, I don't know if you do this too but I put a headband on and then half way through the day I'm like 'Get this thing off my head now!!' and end up ripping it off:) so seeing as I'm soo organised and took the pictures at completely different times in the day:) Anyway enough of my rambling, let's get crackalacking!;)

Orange Circle Clothing

Hey beauts!
So I know that probably all of you have heard of orange circle clothing as it has been travelling around the blogging and youtube seen like hotcakes!!
But like many others I have been drawn in too! And as an avid Harry Potter fan (call me sad but I love it!) I love that they do deathly hallows T-shirts!

How lush are they? I would probably choose to get it in a men's medium as I'd it to be baggy and slouchy.  Especially with rolled up sleeves with some high-waisted shorts - I can't wait to get ordering!!;)

Another reason that I love this site is because everytime I go and have another look they have added new stock, which I just think is great! It means that it never gets boring. Granted I may not like every single T-short that they hold but there is a fair few, I do need to keep a tight hold on my purse strings so that I don't spend all my pennies!

As far as price is concerned they are quite reasonable. They're obviously not the cheapest tops in the world but at £14.49 a pop, they won't completely break the bank:)

Hello!

So... here it is my blog - wow!
To be completely truthful I have had blogs before (well one) but it didn't really work out. I know that sounds like me and my blog were some sort of star-crossed lovers that were fighting day and night, but in all seriousness I really wasn't enjoying it and I felt like the things that I was writing about weren't what really inspired me which is never good!
But now I'm back with a new blog and a new me! I'll be chatting to you lovely people about beauty, fashion, music and all the stuff that fills my boring life!

Thanks a squillion!
